Warm Plains Dream is a fine art print by Australian artist Angela Hawkey, reproduced from her original textured oil painting.
Tall gum trees rise across a sun-warmed Australian landscape, opening onto expansive plains and soft blue ranges in the distance. A gentle palette of sandy neutrals, eucalyptus greens and muted blues is brought to life with warm coral, peach, ochre and touches of pink throughout the foreground.
The original artwork was painted with a palette knife, using expressive sweeps and generous layers of oil paint to create the trees, grasses and open landscape. While the fine art print itself is not physically textured, it captures the shadows, highlights and dimensional marks of the original paint, giving the print a beautiful illusion of texture and depth.
Warm Plains Dream has a light, relaxed quality that celebrates the warmth and openness of the Australian countryside. Its combination of earthy natural tones and contemporary colour makes it a beautiful addition to modern Australian, coastal and country-inspired interiors.

Dear Angela, we have just received your beautiful painting and are absolutely thrilled with it. Love love the painting! Can't stop staring at it for the light it gives off (somehow!?) We are in a temporary set up, so I've got it with all our nice furniture (kids toys!) for now ? I really love it. I like so many of your pieces, I'll definitely buy another one when I can. Hopefully something a bit bigger next time but this fruit bowl is perfect. Dear Angela, This afternoon, I returned home from an appointment to find a rather large package safely placed on my front porch. I cannot tell you just how happy I was. My husband brought it into the house and we placed it on the floor in our family room. You may not believe this, but I felt so nervous and excited, both at the same time, as Paul carefully removed the packaging. Angela, I actually was overwhelmed with joy when I saw your absolutely magnificent painting, that I cried. I loved it when I saw it online, and l am so very proud to have this beautiful painting of yours in my home. My darling daughters, they are twins and have young family’s, both love Australian artwork and one especially found you for me. I fell in love with your Garden Walk paintings and have always loved roses ever since I was very young. My grandmother had beautiful roses in her garden, as do I still now at my home. This was a commissioned piece of a walking track with ocean and mountain views, in Apollo Bay - our happy place. My husband and I gifted it to each-other as a wedding anniversary token. We splashed out a bit extra on a gift to each-other,since the last 2 years were riddled with covid and all its lockdowns. There is always a degree of uncertainty when you seek a commissioned piece, and you need to remember that your vision may have a different interpretation to the artist’s perceptions. We were open-minded to this and prepared to accept the artist’s (Angie’s) interpretation. But Angie worked to the brief flawlessly, and we are beyond thrilled with our piece. It sits in our lounge area, where most of our time is spent when we are home, so that we can enjoy it to its fullest. And when we aren’t in Apollo Bay in person, looking at this artwork transports us there mentally.
