The Solace Of Salt Water is the conclusion painting in my series Australian Natives And The Ocean, depicting a moment in time experienced while standing at the water’s edge along the Cape Byron walking track heading up the lighthouse, a popular spot for those seeking to rewind and recharge. We are drawn to the ocean for its ability to calm and inspire. The sound of waves, the salt in the air, and the endless horizon offer a space for reflection, where thoughts seem to drift as freely as the tides. The ocean represents both the unknown and the familiar, a place where we can lose ourselves and find peace in the vastness.
'The Solace Of Salt Water' was chosen as a finalist in the Revival Emerging Artist Prize 2025. It is painted in acrylic on canvas and has a beautiful oak frame, ready to hang on your wall. Finished in satin varnish for protection, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
