There is something relaxing about walking along the shore, the breeze tickling your face and the taste of salt on your lips. Masthead Beach is a painted in a loose, expressive way to depict the movement of the ocean and clouds above, dancing in the wind.
Based off sketches done while at Masthead Beach in Cleveland, Queensland, Masthead Beach is painted in acrylic on canvas and is framed in a beautiful American ash frame ready to hang. Finished in satin varnish for protection, it also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Masthead Beach has been selected as a finalist in the Queenscliff Art Prize 2025 Exhibition, and a copy of this original painting will be on display at the Queenscliff Pier and Rosebud Pier in Victoria from December 1st 2024 until April 30th 2025. Winners are announced in March 2025.
