Autumn Reverie was created when the air smelled like woodsmoke and the days ended in long slow sunsets that seemed to last forever. Far on the right a solitary stand of trees bursts with colour, their foliage ablaze with oranges and reds as if the sky had kissed their leaves. The horizon feels both endless and close, pulling the viewer into the wamth.
